Is the "Grave de Peralta–Poveda–Poirier Equation" worth exploring?

While on the web, I came across a paper, "A Non-relativistic Approach to Relativistic Quantum Mechanics: The Case of the Harmonic Oscillator" published in Foundations of Physics (https://doi.org/10.1007/s10701-022-00541-5). The authors claim the existence of a Schrodinger equation for relativistic quantum systems as an alternative to the Dirac and Klein-Gordon equations (if I am not mistaken) and named their results after them. By the way, I thought that was for the community to do. That's not my concern. I have a strong interest in quantum mechanics, but I am not a physics person, so I would be grateful if our smart physics redditors could help me understand whether it is valid and legitimate.
