Payments for Canadians working for a US company

I started recently remote working with a US company as a Canadian. They use stripe to deposit USD to a Canadian banking institution (institution, transit, account number) - no wire option. Seems we can only receive money in CAD which incurs FX fees. Is there a way to keep the money in USD without having a US bank account?
