Cat is catching one to two mice a day...

Hi everyone,

Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but im at my end trying to figure this out..

We live in upstate NY and are just beginning to thaw out a bit. Never really had a problem with mice before and have always left traps around the basement and attic just as a preventive measure. Since last week my cat has been leaving 1- 2 dead in the living room. Checked all traps any nothing there. I have added new traps to the living room and kitchen areas, but nothing yet.

Called an exterminator and they said it was likely just a pregnant one that got in and had babies.

I am going to check for any potential entry points when we thaw out a bit more, but in the meantime should I just keep letting the cat clear them out and hope it ends soon?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!
