Travel to DFW

Hi, I am going to a festival in Fort Worth in October. I’m going to be flying into Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. I wanted to get some insight from local people about things to do, places to stay, etc.. Is this a city that’s good with public transport? Are the Ubers relatively cheap? The festival is at the Texas Motor Speedway. So I’d rather stay closer to there than the airport. Is it a more expensive city? Give me any advice or tips you think I need to know. Thanks so much.
