Help me become a gamer who finishes games

Need HELP to become a patient Gamer

Am a 29 yr old adult with a 10hr job. I have been playing games since my 5th grade. What i remember about gaming is fun and excitement. The urge to know the plot and the immersion and investment in the plot and game mechanics.

Sometimes games like gta vice city i didnt even know it had story i just played it for the fun of it. After few years i got my ps3 in which i played far cry 3. That is when i realised games has much more to offer than just gameplay. U liked the mystery, i liked the world, i like the game mechanics, i liked the story. I liked the emotions. This where actually my gaming journey starts i would say.

Then got into assassins creed 2, BH and revelation. Masterpiece of a trilogy. Then the next uncharted trilogy i finished completed. Dont remember much of it but it was fun times. And the prince of persia trilogy wow wow!! what a time period that was. Then i finished many games like nfs Most wanted, god of war triolgy. Then something fresh and new hit me.

FINAL Fantasy XII Zodiac age. It just blew me away. The characters the story, first time experiencing turn based combat. Will get stuck in boss fights for days. Didn't have the help of the internet at that time. So i have to find my own solutions i just sank 200hrs in it. But i couldn't finish it bcoz of external factors and didn't get back to it after that. Still one of my most regreted backlog.

After that i played many games but i didnt know it at that time but the problem i have now started to gain roots. Thinking back i cant clearly remember the games i played from 2016. I finished only very few games and always start new games and never finish it even though i liked it a lot. I finished witcher 2, mutant zero. Dying light ( still one of my favs),wasteland 2 and 3 ( i loved both), forest, sekiro( it was an experience to say the least) gta V etc.

But the list of games i didnt finish even though i liked it a lot is almost 10 times more. To bame a few. Witcher 3, rdr2, ac odessy, ac origin, blackflag. Persona 5, cyberpunk etc.. Even thou i loved all these titles i couldn't finish.

When i started to analyse whats the problem. I fought that even when i am playing a game that is interesting am starting to think about the next game i want to play. Like i was playing god of war remake. It was a great game i loved it. But the last 5 hrs of that game i was hoping it would end soon and i can start the next game. And recently am not playing any game with commitment. I just start a new game whenever i feel like and just leave and play another game. But i love the games i played even then i chose to play anothe game.

I really wish to know did u guys had these kind of problems and how you overcame it.
