Just finished re9, little thoughts (spoiler)
Just finished re9, and it was a pretty cool game. Mostly. The game doesn’t really stand out as doing something, that hasn’t been done better before.
The start was cool, the care center, probably the best part, looking for the emblems to open the door, like in re7. But I think re7 still did it better with the house.
The basement, kinda annoyed me, cause it was literally just a worse copy of, Amnesia the bunker.
Like it isn’t actually feel like it was just inspired, but a copy. Keeping the light on, with a monster crawling around the ceiling.
The helicopter house, was fine. No problems there.
Then the final fight with the girl. Was good too.
And then Leon, the small parts were really cool, it felt so badass playing as him.
But the part where you have to make the bomb.
Worst part of the game, just a long, boring, repetitive, fetch quest, with just zombies.
But the spider was so cool, I really missed having big animals in the games. Last time there was a spider boss, was code Veronica I think.
Motorcycle part, was meh, felt so forced, and with that I mean with how many invisible walls there was. Not really any skill or anything. I would not have minded it just being a cutscene. But it was cool.
Then there was the police station, for re2 remake. It was very cool too. But very short. Mr x is back, very cool boss fight
Then the lab, the lickers are back, cool. But the very shiny white lab has been done so many times already. But I liked it.
Hunks return, that very cool, I was actually surprised with it. And then him and Leon fighting is cool, until it’s over. In like a minute. I let him break my neck on purpose just to see it again since the re4 mercenary mode. And that one game where he was in, you remember that shitty one. I still have it on dvd somewhere.
Then there’s the licker room, one of my favorite parts of the game.
The ending is fine, Chris is mentioned that’s it.
Things I didn’t like, Grace and her constant stuttering, she comes off as forced quirky. And the voice actor who keeps stuttering n was annoying, isn’t she an fbi member.
Leon’s bomb part, all of it.
The wesker imitation, felt incredibly forced nostalgia bait.
Spencer feels bad, since when? He believed himself to be a god, then got killed.
But if it wasn’t for that, I would have been okay with it. It doesn’t annoy really,
But the game was overall really cool
