“Hey sweetie, the wedding is in a month. I thought you’d wanna see what I’ve picked out for you to walk the aisle in!” My girlfriend’s Step-Mom teased sending me a video of her wedding day lingerie. Thanks to her wanting a swap wedding…I’ll be the one wearing it.

Amanda was always very spiritual, wanting new experiences and pushing boundaries. Given her and my girlfriend’s Dad have been married before she wanted to do something really different. When she heard about swap weddings we knew that them having one was inevitable. 

My girlfriend Hannah was equally excited by the idea, her Dad Richard didn’t really seem to want to put up a fight. And so it was decided, there would be a swap wedding.

The debate about who should be who raged for many nights over dinner. Richard claimed he didn’t care as long as he had no responsibility for the fallout. But Amanda couldn’t choose so they went for pulling names out of a hat. 

I arrived at their house one afternoon and Hannah couldn’t wipe the smile from her face. 

“We’re going to the chapel aaaaand…you’re gonna get married!” She teased. 

“Congratulations bride to be!” Amanda beamed as I walked into the house. 

“Huh?” 

“We picked names from a hat and…you better dust of your veil honey!” She smirked. 

I couldn’t believe it. I wasn’t thrilled with the idea of being someone else even for the day, but not only did I have to be someone else I had to be a woman! The most important woman at the ceremony….

“And guess what-“ Hannah started.

“Shhh no no don’t tell anyone, I don’t want anyone to know who is who on the day!” She said excitedly. “Ooo I can’t wait!” She was giddy, bouncing over and giving me a tight squeeze.

Two weeks on and the excitement hasn’t died down. She sends me photos every day, different aspects of ‘my’ wedding. From followers, cake, shoes and jewellery. Today…it was lingerie.
