tips on level 6 mindthief

Recently I've reached level 6 on the Mindthief and I'm feeling uninspired with both options. I would love to hear what others who reached 6 on Mindthief chose and why.

TL;DR: I'm playing no summons and consider going back for either Cranium Overload (3) or Gangling Abomination (5) at this point but would love to have my opinion changed.

Background:

My playstyle is a mixture of melee and enemy control playstyle, using the control actions as ranged options when I can't find a safe entry into melee range.

My card choices up until now were Hostile Takeover (2), Brain Leech (3) , Silent Scream (4) , Mass Hysteria (5) .

For the level up I've considered Gangling Abomination (5) for the bottom but I have so many good bottom actions already. Dark Frenzy's (6) bottom is really nice when there are traps/hazardous but sometimes there are none to find and the initiative is not helpful either. The top really isn't too exciting as dark is rare to come by so it's mostly an attack 5 which is nice, but I feel like it's not what I need at this point in a top action.
I also considered going back for Cranium Overload (3) , which is an amazing card but I don't often struggle with movement and when I do, I just pair Scurry with a bottom movement to compensate, so carrying it for the loss alone is hard to justify.
Since I'm not playing summons Telepathic Command (6) is absolutely useless for me as well.
