The poems of a love lost
You hate me
and yes, I hate me too.
I feel empty,
wondering who I am,
lost
a fragment blowing in the wind.
One day my life will end,
and all of this will be over.
Until then
I simply have to make it
to that day.
I want to die,
and yet I feel as though
I am already dead.
Still, one thing in this life
remains certain
for what it is worth,
I loved you
with everything I had.
I am sorry
for the hurt
and the pain I caused.
You may find it hard to believe,
but the heart that loved you
still beats.
The part of me you met
was real
only muddied
by years of unresolved storms within.
Perhaps it is my karma
to be this being,
to live this life,
to carry what I carry.
Memories of us
I will keep
in a humble box of the mind.
For I am only human
a quiet celebration
of mistakes.
And you
you will always rest
in the tender places
of my soul.
I only hope
that one day
I may be worthy
of this love again.
