I've been sourcing secondhand designer things for people for free and for fun: am I delusional to think I could turn this into something?
For the past year I've been writing my newsletter about resale finds (only in the EU) for friends and internet strangers across European platforms (Vestiaire, Vinted, eBay etc). I search in multiple languages so I can find things that don't show up in English searches. People seem to love it and some actually buy what I find them.
The economy is rough in any case, and I often feel hopeless about my day job, and it made me think — if I'm going to put energy into something, it might as well be something I actually love?…
So I'm considering expanding this into a proper service and charging for it.
But I don't know if I'm being delusional. Like, would you ever pay for something like this? Has anyone done something similar? Gab Waller? Am I missing something obvious about why this wouldn't work?
I kept putting this off always thinking I’m not good enough and I have no biz brain, but if someone can do it, why can’t I?..
I would really appreciate any thoughts, opinions, advice… cause I have no mentor:(
