Extreme power save.

This may be the wrong place to ask but I figure its a decent place to start. Was directed here from r/PLC.

I have a 3d printer that I'm trying to add a bit of an extreme power save mode too although this could be relevant to any project.

Goals:

Ability turn a 120 or 240 volt 15 amp device.

Ability to cold start without standby battery, secondary power supply, or phantom/vampire load (0 watts when off).

Remote start and stop buttons.

Turn off trigerable from a digital io pin on digital board (Think Pie, digital IO, or fan output on mobo) (probably 3.3-48 volts) with delay of 5-60 seconds.

Prefer DIN mount and minimum foot print. (building a 350mm printer but want to also implement on a budies 250mm)

Thoughts:

I was thinking of using a 2 pole self latching relay with a delay trigger on the off side.

Was thinking best start would be to trigger a PTT button on 120/240 volt line side before the disconect relay to trigger the on state.

The problem I'm running into is the automated DC stop signal.

Any ideas or other places to ask about this?
