Why is this happening?!

So basically I got on hinge after a while, and had a decent time there ig however despite all the great matches and conversations whenever I ask the person to switch over to Instagram which they agree to there’s no conversations happening like I’m ghosted at the first hi/hello message , sometimes my request doesn’t even get go thru 💀. Can someone explain why this is happening or if it has happened to you.
