Best place to live for young male working in Staten Island
Mid 20 year old male moving to nyc for work. Going to be working on Staten Island. Wanting to know best place to live to still have a social life. I’ve been pretty introverted growing up and want to change that plus I’m single so hoping to find someone when I’m in nyc.
Budget wise is no issue ideally don’t want to be spending more than 5k on rent and don’t want to commute more than 30min each way.
Is it possible to live in Brooklyn and commute in or is driving across that bridge every morning and night unrealistic? I’ve heard Staten Island isn’t good for having a social life but couldn’t I just drive into Brooklyn or take the ferry into manhattan on the weekends?
I like outdoor activities like tennis pickleball surfing swimming snowboarding rock climbing but probably won’t be able to do these in nyc right?
