Mom is a JW and every so often says she wants us to “attend a talk”

My mom doesn’t usually try to push her beliefs, but she has become more extreme since her conversion about 10 years ago.

I’m not ignorant to the fact that if we go she’ll keep asking for more stuff, so I politely decline.

My question is, why is she calling it a “talk”? If I was going to invite someone to church I’d just say that or service or whatever else.
