“Content Creator Question – Is it legal to use a fan’s Roblox avatar in a commissioned song/video?”
Hi I hope I am in a right sub thread.
I’m a content creator experimenting now with full 1 minute custom songs with Suno that I have a paid plan for and am allowed to hopefully soon sell on Fiverr and have visuals based on the player avatars.
If I commission a song/music video about their Roblox avatar, how much stylization should I include when selling fan avatars in the video if I’m not selling the avatar asset itself?
The final product would be the song/video, not the avatar model itself.
I hope I can get some thoughts on the tests I have done on my YouTube if they are enough stylization! I know I am more in the clear with Minecraft characters since they are more textures people make. Long as I do not sell either games IP directly or talk about specific game assets. I know people sell art drawings of avatars and thumbnails, this is almost no different?
I am using AI to make the songs and images but I tweak and edit it all. You can see what I do vs AI in any song video example. I know I would not own any of this but this is fan based.
Again this is all experiment testing at first!
