F22 M240i wheel and tire size for someone who knows nothing about fitment.

I'm sure this question has been asked a lot but I can't seem to find a solid answer. I want to switch to a square setup so I can rotate my tires since I plan on doing track/autox events (plus just daily saving from being able to rotate). It currently has the stock 225/42R18x7.5 ET45 upfront and 245/35R18x8 ET52 (maybe 53?) on the rear. I have been looking into going square for a while now, without modifications beyond getting the fenders rolled. Based on everything I have read an 18x8 wheel will fit, but there's a lot of debate on the offset needed. I thought about doing a 245/40R18x8 ET45 all around, but some people say there's rubbing at full turn, some say there isn't; so I am unsure if that's what I should get.

Does anyone run a similar setup to the 245/40R18x8 ET45? If so how do they fit, do you have any issues with rubbing? Is ET45 good, or should it be something else?
