Fujifilm Protection Plans have been discontinued for now

I finally got my new x100vi and have been trying for the last month to figure out how to sign up for the Fujifilm Protection Plan.

After getting nowhere, I decided to contact Fujifilm directly to get a clear answer. They confirmed that Fujifilm Protection Plans are currently discontinued. They also said the extended warranty program is being revamped, but there is no date yet for when it will be available again.

Posting this here because I spent way too long trying to figure it out, and I figured this might save someone else the same headache.
