Been plateaued for over 6 months. (M34, 325->280)
So I started taking Tirz January last year, starting weight 325. Started off with Empower 2.5mg and occasionally when I was having trouble with refills my mom would slip me some of her extra 5mg name brand Mounjaro pens. Lost 10lbs the first month and then about 5lbs a month until I was down to 280, that's when I started plateauing.
Eventually switched over to Goby Meds because my primary was tired of dealing with Empower / stopped trusting them and didn't want to write scripts for a compounding pharmacy anymore. Got them to bump me to 6mg and now I'm on 9mg and I'm still not able to beat this plateau. Getting really frustrated that it feels like I'm throwing away good money, especially when money's so tight.
I'm definitely eating significantly less than I used to before taking Tirz, even when I was originally at my current weight, and the food noise is less than before it but also more present than when I initially started in spite of the higher dose. Been making more meals at home and eating less fast food than I was even when I was first taking the Tirz and the effects were stronger.
Despite the pretty significant weight loss (double what I'd been able to tolerate on my own previously) I've felt no real improvements in my energy or mobility tbh, but the original reduction in food noise was great for my mental health and at least helped offset the cost of the drugs to an extent.
Do I just need to keep going up on the dose? Should I look into switching pharmacies?
