Just bought on steam deck and getting 14FPS… help!

I heard this game ran pretty good on deck, but for some reason it’s running at 14FPS… it jumps to 60 in loading screens then back down again. Anyone know a fix? Also, there’s no option to chose Vulcan API - don’t know if that would help?
