Doing PSA or Engineering academy

I applied to the Engineering Academy this week, but do you guys think it’s too late to receive an acceptance or rejection before May 1st?

I know that Biology & Agricultural Engineering, and Ocean Engineering are available through PSA, but my main goal is to eventually get into Texas A&M College Station. Because of that, I’m also considering doing Biological and Agricultural Engineering through PSA at TAMU.

If the Engineering Academy decision does not come out before May 1st, would you recommend choosing engineering through PSA instead?

Also, I got a 5 on AP Precalculus and I’m currently taking AP Calculus AB. Do you think that would help my chances of getting accepted into the Engineering Academy?
