Why is Ludwig's fanbase on Twitter so Toxic?

TLDR: seeing so much negativity in the community (especially on twitter) and I feel that kind of sucks. Why is it like that?

I tend to think Lud cultivated a really good community and I've made a few friends from the discord, and see a lot of the awesome things to community does on reddit as well.

But anytime I look under a Ludwig tweet (and even sometimes this subreddir) that could be something even mildly controversial or opinionated, the replies are filled with people dropping the R and F slur left and right, insulting everyone who disagrees with them, attacking anyone who doesn't share the same opinion as Ludwig, and especially dogpiling on anyone who says anything remotely negative about lud.

It doesn't make sense to me because he's been so vocal in the past about not wanting people to do that stuff, and not feeling the need to defend him and be parasocial.

I don't take it seriously because it's just Twitter at the end of the day, but when did he get so many horrible and toxic people in his fan base? And I've looked through some of their profiles and confirmed they are fans because they follow him, the yard, others he associates with, and interact with a lot of his content.

Just makes me sad to constantly see negativity over literally the smallest of things. Why is everyone in such a bad mood!
