Do you tip when you go to Starbucks?

to me, tipping culture in America has gotten out of hand and it feels akward that for a takeout drink that costs $4, a screen then pops up asking is you want to tip $1, $2, $3, or $4.

like no, I don’t really want to tip you $1 or more for a double espresso.

sometimes I do it because it’s mortifying to hit “no tip” when they are staring right at you.

how does everyone else address this? do you tip or no?
