Offering: English, Polish | Seeking: Mandarin Chinese

Just started my journey which Mandarin Chinese and here is my main question, would you recommend hand writing characters ?

I can see it useful as a way to remember it but written characters are slightly different than the digital ones, so should I stick to pin yin or continue writing ? 😄

Also I am really looking forward to get more about chinese cuisine, recently i tried to make 麻婆, I even got my self a sicuan peppercorns.
