Scholarships
I'm a Grade 12 student at a TDSB high school in Toronto. In Semester 1, I was technically part-time, I took 2 day school courses and 2 night school courses. I've now been formally "demitted" from TDSB day school, meaning I'm no longer an active day school student. However, I am still completing 2 remaining credits through TDSB night school on Brightspace.
I currently have 29 credits completed. 8 U / M level courses currently enrolled / completed. My guidance counsellor has confirmed they are still submitting my grades to OUAC, and I am still classified as a Group A (101) applicant. My OUAC profile shows I will achieve OSSD by end of current school year. I have a 94% average for top 6
- Some University state entrance scholarships require you to be a full-time enrolled high school student. Does my demission from day school disqualify me, even though I'm still a Group A/101 applicant with my guidance counsellor actively managing my OUAC file?
- Since the "full-time" requirement doesn't specify per-semester, just "minimum 3 Grade 12 U/ M courses within the 2025–2026 school year", and I have 6+ Grade 12 courses this year, does that satisfy the requirement regardless of my day school demission?
- Has anyone been in a similar situation, finishing credits through night school as a Group A applicant. and successfully received entrance scholarships?
