At a crossroads

I feel like I'm at a crossroads right now. I love my boyfriend so much, but he just admitted to not having a sex drive at the moment. He was on trt for 2 years and he decided to come off about 3 weeks ago. He said he didn't like how it made him feel. We had a talk about it. What it would likely to do to his libido as his body adjusts. I told him we could work through it, but now that it's a reality, I'm having second thoughts.

Sex frequency has been an issue in our relationship for awhile. When we argue, it's usually always about sex. Even on the trt, his sex drive was still inconsistent. But he was very into it when we were having sex. When he was really horny once, he bought handcuffs. Alm8ost a year ago, they haven't been used.

Anyway, we tried to have sex the other night. I could tell he wasn't feeling it, so I stopped him when he was using a toy on me. I left the bedroom crying and he said he was sorry, that he was trying and he wants to want sex.

I want to be patient and see if things improve. But the reality of our situation hit me hard when I had some time to think. It's always been an issue and it always will be. He was right about that. But is it something we can always work through or is it something we always deal with?

I feel selfish because all this time, he was right. About me. About my needs. But I love him and I know losing him would break my heart. So I've always tried to push those feelings aside to make things work. But that's not fair to him. I really don't want to lose him, but I don't want to hold him back either.
