Jagex repaired their relationship with players over many years. Can other companies do the same?
Jagex has done a stellar job of repairing developer/player relationships after years of fumbling. It took many years to achieve this good will from the player base, but it proves that its possible to do.
How can other companies learn and follow what Jagex has done for their own communities? Some companies have more ground to make up than others.
- Are some companies too far gone to rebuild trust?
- Could a company like EA ever realistically rehabilitate its image?
- Would the path look different for Blizzard vs EA?
- What would a company actually need to do to start rebuilding trust with their players?
Jagex showed it’s possible, but is it repeatable? Or was OSRS a unique case?
