Working at a dead-end job is slowly making me depressed

I didn’t realize how much a job could affect your mental state until now.

I’ve been working at this place for a while and it just feels like there’s no future here. They don’t teach us any new skills, there’s no growth, and raises basically never happen. Every day feels exactly the same clock in, do the same repetitive tasks, clock out.

What makes it worse is feeling like I’m not improving at anything. It feels like time is passing but I’m not actually moving forward in life.

I know a lot of people say “just get another job,” but it’s not always that simple. Bills still exist and you can’t just quit without something lined up.

I guess I’m just wondering if anyone else has gone through this kind of phase in their life. How did you get out of it?
