Depression & phone addiction

I recently moved into a house by myself, after a very grief heavy year. After giving myself a year and a bit to just do what I needed to do to cope, I feel like Im left with these bad habits like phone addiction and ordering takeout. It honestly feels extreme and like Im now wasting my life & money and making bad decisions. I feel like it’s rotting my brain and adding to my depression but I’m honestly scared of how else to fill my time. I’m scared what happens when I put the phone away. There’s a fine line of feeling your feelings in a healthy way & rumination. Any suggestions of what else to do? I just need a middle ground. I’ve tried puzzles, colouring in, making tea, phoning a friend, walking the dog, you name it. Feel like I’ve tried everything. I’ve struggled with depression for a long time, even before my grief and I just feel like .. is this it? Is my life going to be a daily battle forever? Or is there hope that my depression be cured by doing the ‘right things’ (exercise, socialising, therapy etc)?
