Sent a card i made him back

I made him a bday card in November, it was homemade. In Jan when we split, we were crying and said we love you to each other but I asked him to remove me as friends on fb.

He said he still needed to process , so I obliged and gave him a month. We didn't talk to each other in that month but i texted him saying he needed to remove me. I was gentle but firm.

I initially asked for the card back, probably out of anger or sadness, but we chatted about it for a bit. He said keeping it now will only cause him pain. I said keep it anyway, it was a gift and it belongs with you. Then I told him to take care. That was a month ago.

I just got the card in the mail today. I don't know why he waited this long and it sucks because I was not expecting it and healing from it all.

I will be sending it back, it's his and he can do what he wants with it.
