Some backstory

In november my trusted meindl borneo 2 couldn’t anymore, i wore em crooked, ever since i have been looking for a new pair of rugged leather hiking boots, firstly i tried another pair of borneo 2 new with tags from the grey marked, good deal. These wound up having some sort of defect, where the midsole was glued on slightly misaligned, which created a rise, i got a cobblers word for it that they were no good. Then i bought a pair of meindl perfekt, the goat of old school hiking boots, these had a bump across the stepping pad at the big toe, on the right shoe, i sent these back to meindl, and they supplied me with a new pair, which would imply that the shoes were bust.

Then i tried on a pair of meindl engadin, cool boot, these i felt something slight off and didnt purchase. Then i wanted to try something other than meindl, maybe they were just not for my feet, and the first pair i had i got lucky. I bought a pair of hanwag yukon wide, nice boot, this was in december. I walked with them for a couple of weeks, putting maybe 100km on them, the leather felt good, but every walk after a couple of km there would be some discomfort on the right boot. First it was something between my toes, the big one and the one next to it, and later the toe next to my pinkytoe started sleeping, i sent them back, and got a new pair, again this must mean that they saw a mistake also right, these companies are knows for repairing everything possible. Last week i got the new pair, this time there is a bump along the shoes length, that are sitting where i push off the ground with the ball of my foot, the right one. It feels like stepping on a twig, super uncomfortable after a couple of kilometers.

The question.

Am i super unlucky or just super oversensitive, when it comes to stiff hiking boots? I loved my previous pair, they feel empowering like a pair of thick workgloves and i would be sad not to be able to ever own a pair im happy with.

Please if anyone have had simuler experiences please let me know.

Am i the most unlucky man?
