I think my friend didn’t invite me to her party and my friends are avoiding the topic

hi everyone.

my friends birthday is today. every single year, she does a birthday party which I get invited to, but this year I didn’t hear from her

so I asked her in the group chat, casually, while we were talking about something if she had indeed thrown a party. and suddenly EVERYONE stopped messaging... yeah

i later checked, she had read it

shes in her right if she chooses not to invite me.. her birthday after all

but I felt pretty awful since these past few months the friend group has suffered terribly from a situation she created, and I lost a bunch of sleep trying to help them all get back together

Also, it’s almost like a tradition to post pictures of your friends on your story wishing them a happy birthday, which I did… I always do… but this time she didn’t even thank me / reply

i don’t know if she did throw a party.

idk if the rest of the group is avoiding not talking to me about it

i just feel that I put a lot of effort into friendships, and for some reason they never work out
