I have been seeing a lot of Santa Muerte shrines posted so I wanted to share mine. I have a long beautiful history with Her. The first image of Santa Muerte that She showed me was the Virgen De Santa Muerte it was the image I held onto the longest because it felt peaceful and it brought comfort to me. Santa Muerte had shown me my spiritual path of Palo Mayombe, She protected me many times during my time incarcerated. I made it out alive and well with minimal psychological damage. I could never figure out why She never let me get out early in fact I got out a year late until I realized there was still more for me to learn within the African Diáspora and looking back I am thankful for that recently I had a reading done by a Palero confirming that yes Mayombe is my spiritual path as was shown to me but also that Santa Muerte wanted me to continue my devotion to Her. As you can see this is the shrine I've been working on the Siete Potencias in the middle was my first statue I bought in a Botanica called Secrets Azteca, The tall Niña Roja I bought from Mercado de Muertos on Etsy this beautiful work of art is hand made in Mexico and blessed and charged by a Curandera also in Mexico. I have been doing a love working hence the red candle also there offerings of rose petals, Mezcal, chocolate, red wine and coffee. I just ordered a Niña Negra from the same Mercado de Muertos to add. Bendiciones mi gente
