To people who are from/date people from strict outside cultures, how do you navigate the challenges?

For the past couple months I've (24M) gotten pretty close to a girl (23F) from school. We hang out a ton and she's a great girl. She's expressed interest, however also said how she's scared what her parents and community will say. She's Assyrian (Iraqi Christian) while I'm Hindu (Indian). I (and my family) also always wanted an Indian girl and didn't foresee anything like this happening.

My city has one of the largest Assyrian communities in the US. They are very tight knit and essentially only date/marry each other. She says her parents will be super mad and the social repercussions within the community will also not be fun.

Ik people say "Oh if the connection is there nothing else matters" but how do you go about navigating these challenges when coming from two very different, strict communities? I want my family to get along with my partner's obviously, which would be tough in a situation like this.

Would love to here any advice or stories from how it did or didn't work out for other people.
