JFK Lounge Terminal 4

We have an upcoming flight on Alaska Airlines, which I believe leaves from terminal eight. If we check in early and carryons only, can we enter security at terminal four, enjoy the club for a few hours, and then go onto terminal eight for our departure? I understand we’ll have to go through security all over again at terminal 8?
