ARC should have difficulty levels (opinion)
Think about it. Map conditions (cold, hurricane, etc) affect looting. They could also affect ARC's power (stats like speed, armor, damage, HP).
Harder to destroy, but more XP and rewards.
Design: common ARCs have 3 difficulty tiers. Tier 1 = arc as usual. Tiers 2 and 3 improves their stats, rewards and DESIGN. They are very easy to distinguish visually. Think of bigger wings, integrating red colored part, etc).
Dynamics: when ARCs spawn, there is a % chance for a tier. This % is affected by the map condition. Example:
No condition: Tier 1 ARC (90%). Tier 2 ARC (7%). Tier 3 ARC (3%)
Cold: T1 (80%). T2 (14%). T3 (6%)
Hurricane: T1 (70%). T2 (20%). T3 (10%)
Rewards: T1 as usual. T2 can drop weapons and attachments. T3 can drop blueprints too.
Benefits:
-
Its an added interesting in-game factor
-
Punishes free kits and rewards good equipment, specially in maps with special conditions.
-
Raises skill cap: you now also need to learn how to deal with stronger arcs when they spawn.
-
Affects in-game dynamics: hunting ARCs will now be a serious thing. End-game players rarely stop and check for arcs when they spawn. Now they would have a reason to do so, since its a T3 arc there is now an incentive to fight it for a reward and even fight with other raiders (or cooperate). Or just imagine a noob player in Dam Battlegrounds that thinks he mastered fighting the basic arc, and suddendly a T2 wasp spawns and he finds a surprising new PVE challenge.
What do you think about it? Looking forward to hear y'all!
