Why does my betta not eat when I give him food?

He's nothing is wrong with him (as far as I know). He only eats when others give him food but not me. It started after I was away for a week and gave him to another person. After that he just looks at the food but never eats it if I gave it to him. Can someone tell me why this is happening?
