Is anybody else watching Industry? I see a lot of parallels between Natalie Nunn and Yasmin.

Okay, so the latest season of Industry has finished and Yasmin is now a madame.

How she interacts with the women that she’s pimping out reminds me a lot of how Natalie acts with the Baddies. Bringing them abroad, taking them on shopping trips, changing their lives, making them fight for her entertainment and the entertainment of the guests around her, all for “small favours” (sexual) on their side.

It’s so interesting to observe across social class and race of how women will cling to power and position by offering up other women to men.

Not just the madame side, but also how soulless and dark in terms of keeping friendships and relationships with people both of them are, with Yasmin literally sitting Harper next to Nazis and Natalie fighting Scotty on film for “eating another plate of chicken”.

Also, this is a reach but the way that all of the Baddies get plastic surgery after plastic surgery being doped up on drugs while Natalie goes to the gym doing it the natural way reminds me of the last scene that Yasmin was in where all her girls were drinking, but she wasn’t.
