MacBook spec questions

I’m looking to get a MacBook Air with the M5. Looking to do work from home which includes very little. I will run VinSolutions CRM, simple video calls and run multiple applications for work. It’s not a very heavy load at all.

My questions is should I go with the 16gb or 24gb ram? I want it to be useful still in years to come and have decent value while also keeping good performance down the road
