Are business frats worth it?
I’m an incoming student planning to study finance and I’ve been hearing a lot about business fraternities on campus.
Some people say they’re one of the best ways to meet motivated people, build a network, and learn more about careers, specifically investment banking. But I’ve also heard mixed reviews online and how sometimes they feel a little cliquey.
For anyone who’s been involved in a business frat at OSU:
• Is it actually helpful for recruiting/internships?
• What’s the time commitment like during the semester?
• Do you feel like the networking and professional development is worth it?
• Would you recommend rushing as a freshman?
Just trying to understand if it’s something I should seriously pursue when I get to campus. Any insight from current students or alumni would be appreciated.
