Why do firefox and chrome constantly freeze in windows 11? Is there a fix?

Long story short my repair place couldn't fix my old computer so insurance sent me a new one with windows 11 on it. I am constantly losing my place, and have to close and relaunch both browsers over and over. Is this a bug other people experience ?
