I was disappointed but I couldn’t judge him cuz I ghosted someone too. Here is the reason.

GENERAL DISCUSSION

When I was 20, I started talking to someone. At first, I wasn’t planning to date him, but over time I developed very strong feelings for him. He liked me too. Usually, I’m the kind of person who can clearly tell someone if I’m not interested without hesitation. But in that situation, it was different.

Because of painful experiences from my past, I was scared of falling in love again. Instead of facing those feelings, I chose to protect myself. I ended up pushing him away by suddenly cutting contact without any explanation. At that time, I needed space to heal, even though it also made me very sad.

The part I regret the most is that I never explained anything to him. Years passed, and I felt ashamed and didn’t have the courage to reach out. Sometimes I wonder if he thought that I didn’t like him or that I was playing with his feelings, when in reality I was just afraid and trying to protect my heart.

Now he is married, and life has moved on. But that experience taught me something important: sometimes people push others away not because they don’t care, but because they are afraid or dealing with wounds they haven’t healed yet.

This is also why the situation with Seung‑il reminded me a little of my own story. Of course, his reasons may be completely different from mine. Maybe he didn’t like Mingee, or he truly liked her but it wasn’t the right time to date or maybe he had other motivations for being there. But I don’t necessarily believe that he simply didn’t care.

On the show, we saw him being quite honest with both Mina and Mingee. From the beginning, he seemed fairly straightforward about his feelings. That’s why the situation after the show feels a bit confusing to me.

If he truly wasn’t interested in Mingee after everything ended, it seems like he could have just told her honestly and respectfully. Based on how he communicated during the show, being direct with her in a calm and peaceful way shouldn’t have been a problem.

But sometimes real life is more complicated than what we see on screen. People can react in ways that don’t always make sense from the outside. Fear, confusion, pressure, can make someone avoid a conversation instead of facing it directly. And sometimes, when someone disappears or stays silent, it doesn’t automatically mean they didn’t care at all. I’ve learned from my experience
