Sedation IV vs. General Anesthesia

I’m specifically interested in hearing from individuals who have had pretty major facial surgeries (not just upper or lower bleph) that took 5-6+ hours. I understand it’s common to do sedation/sleep IV in Korea, but with added cost, you can get a board certified anesthesiologist. I’d like to know your experience, good or bad, so I can decide which way to go. Thank you!
