M1 Pro 32 GB 2TB or M1 Pro Max 64GB 2TB Refurbished?

Hello. I am looking to get an older MacBook pro for music production to keep for a while. I am on the fence between these two options. I don't want an external ssd because I think 1TB would eventually be used up fast so 2GB is my go to. Is there really much a difference between the M1 Pro and M1 Max. For example if I was to make an industry standard song would the M1 Pro with those specs be enough or should I go for the best at that time with the Max? Thank you.
