Bowel Questions for Gyno?
In December I was diagnosed with endo and adeno after a flair that left me heavily bleeding for 33 days. I was placed with a pelvic pain specialist (the endo specialist is out on medical leave). She put me on norethidrone acetate. I take 5.35 mg per day and I can take more as needed to stop breakthrough bleeding. Besides the weight gain, it’s been extremely helpful.
That said, I’m having issues with constipation which it seems like could be related to endo? I went to the regular doctor and they checked me for IBD and colon dialation. No red flags, but they did note that I was extremely constipated. I was doing pelvic floor therapy for endo so they said that should help + take MiraLAX and fiber (already am).
I track my fiber and ensure I have sufficient soluable and insoluable fiber per day + track my water intake to ensure I’m also drinking enough water. I finished 12 sessions of pelvic floor therapy for hypertonic pelvic floor. I end up having to take MiraLAX on a regular basis and despite that I’m only having a full bowel movement about once every 7 days or more. I do not even feel the urge to have one. Literally the only thing that helps is eating extremely spicy food.
First, am I reasonable in thinking this could be related to endo? Second, anything to ask the gyno besides “is this related and can you help me?”
Thanks!
