Most people are still using AI as a better search box or a faster content machine.

What feels different with GPT-5.4 + Codex 5.4 is that the workflow is starting to split into two useful roles:

One system helps with higher-level thinking:  
strategy, architecture, requirements, tradeoff analysis, workflow design.

The other helps with execution:  
implementation, debugging, testing, verification, iteration, and moving tasks forward with less constant intervention.

Not magic. Not autonomous perfection. Still needs judgment.  
But the leverage is clearly changing for people who know how to define outcomes, structure work, and manage the loop.

I’m paying attention less to “what answer did the AI give?”  
and more to  
“can this system help think, act, verify, and keep progressing?”

That is a much more important shift.
