Bluehost reviews - Is Bluehost actually good for beginners?

I am thinking about starting a small blog and I keep seeing Bluehost mentioned everywhere. Many guides recommend it for beginners, but I am not sure how honest those recommendations are because many of them use affiliate links.

I want to hear real Bluehost reviews from people who are actually using it. How is the performance, uptime, and customer support in real use? Also, does the renewal price become too expensive after the first year?

Would like to know both good and bad experiences before I decide.
