Ban Ta is a goddamm madman(spoiler and theory for the side stories)

We've learned some things in the side stories. Apparently the lightning disciples still haven't caught Yang su-jin, which makes heavenly tribulation a pain in the ass without heavenly punishment. Apparently Peacock and Peng joined SEO's faction. Peng seems to have taken over the antimatter sea, and Peacock supposedly started training under seo in swordsmanship, getting known as "the owner of black blades". I thought it might be the reincarnation of SEO's round 17 lover, but the "paired with peng part" implies it's really glass peacock. Apparently she's now a 3 great ultimates immortal and founder of a new yin yang system. Yu whi became the owner of obsidian chains.

However Ban Ta has become an absolutely crazy character in one chapter.

Apparently this crazy son of a bitch broke past normal immortal consciousness to Araya consciousness(what supreme deities have) 20 billion years ago!!! As a sacred master!

He created a modified 3 great ultimates, which replaces heart with just one emotion(whatever purple gold was) using the vast cold formula, creating more extreme power and specialization in exchange for less stability.

Apparently SEO actually set up opportunities for him to ascend dozens of times. But Ban Ta rejected them. Him being angry about not being able to find a sacred master replacement is at least in part an act, covering his real goal.

He claims once he completes his plan even glass peacock can't touch him. Even though she was already supreme deity level 40 billion years ago and has been training under SEO to rape him, since she now remembers round 1002.

I think he's trying to pull a hong fan. Hong fan became a supreme deity while still a mortal. It was possible because of triple divinity and the chief god he devoured. He only discarded his vestige right before becoming true emporer.

He probably wants to set up a perfect order in the purple gold realm and beyond, establishing a new law as a supreme deity. Just like how SEO made the stars sentient when he became a supreme deity, and later established the law of retribution. To do this he needs two things.

1- Have someone (Hyun ah) become his successor and bring perfect peace to the purple gold realm.

2- Use a massive immortal art to skip true immortality all together and seize and dominate a dao. I believe the reason he's going to do this as a mortal before discarding his vestige, is that it's neccesary to establish the specific "law" he's aiming for, and have it apply to mortals.

The myriad star lords all think it's crazy and are advising him not to do it(I believe SEO is 100% rooting for him though). They think justice shouldn't be forced like this. Hence the whole talk about vileness and ballance.

If it works the mc of the side stories will get the ultimate backer in his ascension to challenge SEO.
