What’s La Coruña like?

I’m trying to learn more about A Coruña and would love to hear from people who live there or know the city well.

A few things I’m particularly curious about:

1. Job opportunities

Is there much work in NGOs, humanitarian organizations, international cooperation, or tourism as a multilingual person? Also wondering if there are roles where languages like Mandarin, French, English, and Spanish could be useful.

2. Family-friendly neighborhoods

Which areas are considered good for families (safe, pleasant, parks, schools, etc.)?

3. Cost of living

What is the typical monthly cost of living for a family (especially rent, groceries, utilities)?

4. General lifestyle

What’s everyday life like in A Coruña? Is it welcoming for people coming from outside Spain?
