Rendering help
Hey guys so i’ve recently got back into digital art after about 3 years of “art block.” But it’s really just every-time I try and try to understand the rendering process i’m left with almost something that just look like anime with some extra detail. Like HARD black lines and I can’t understand how people can go from line art to a full rendered piece that looks so soft and detailed. I feel like line art is a must for me, But i’m trying to figure out how people can go from this to this including how layers work, at what point do you start certain things, and what layer modes everything should be in. I watch youtube videos and even look at references but i feel like it just always ends up like this and idk where to go. Specifics I watch a video someone puts down their base lining, then some base color, cuts over to starting to shade the face and suddenly the eyes aren’t black lined anymore they are softer and detailed and I just can’t figure out when or how to start that… I genuinely feel like this is why I can’t move forward with my art and if anyone has any recommendations please let me know. Thanks so much. I also just got clip studio so any tips or good learning videos/sites to learn the basics would also so be appreciated . 🙂
