The strip ratio angle at Nikolai might matter more than the headline nickel numbers

YOLO

Everyone focuses on the billions of pounds of nickel at Nikolai.

But the mining math is what will ultimately drive value.

Earlier technical work showed a reduced strip ratio versus prior assumptions. In simple terms, that means less waste rock moved per tonne of ore. In large bulk-tonnage systems, that directly affects operating cost.

Now layer in the higher-grade core that starts at surface and runs roughly 2.5 kilometers in continuity. That geometry matters. It opens the door to sequencing early production from stronger grade material before moving into the broader lower-grade envelope.

This is why the upcoming scoping study is so important. It is not about proving the deposit exists. That is already established. It is about whether the first phase of mining can be structured in a way that makes economic sense.

Big deposits are common. Big deposits with workable geometry and cost structure are much rarer.

That is the real question the next set of technical work will answer.

Not advice.
